Performance of Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in Bulgaria Q2 2022

During the second quarter of 2022, the top five travel and local apps in Bulgaria experienced diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 3.5K at the end of March and reaching nearly 8.5K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users also showed a steady rise, growing from around 50.9K to 60.7K over the quarter.

TaxiMe experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at around 2.3K in late May before declining to roughly 933 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, increasing to 2.7K in early June and then falling to about 1.6K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth maintained a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 1.6K per week throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, with minor fluctuations, ending the period at approximately 11.2K.

TicketVarna showed a notable spike in downloads in early May, reaching around 5.9K, before stabilizing to an average of 800 downloads per week for the rest of the quarter.

Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save demonstrated steady weekly downloads, starting at about 1.5K and ending the quarter at roughly 1.9K. The app's active users increased gradually from 5.1K to 6.2K over the same period.
